Big ups to those that were in chat on the night – you know who you are 🙂

GENREACTION – Techno House & Breakbeat

Hey, we’re back and we think you’ll love what we have here for you. It’s a live show from last month on londonpirateradio.co.uk. This set starts with some lovely synth house before taking you on a journey that ebbs and flows through tech house, minimal, deep house, nu skool breaks and even a little hardcore breakbeat.

There’s lots more in the pipeline to come from us over the coming weeks, so make sure to check back or follow us on Facebook or our website.

As always, thanks for listening and leave us a comment with your thoughts feelings from this set.

RetroFreak II

Hi all
Join us on a journey from 80’s inspired Synthwave, through banging minimal and deep house, and finishing off with some breakbeat.

This is an edited version of our London Pirate Radio show from 18th Oct. We had some technical issues on the night that took a while to resolve, and listening back there were a couple of mixes that we just had to nail for this upload.

Hope you enjoy – play it loud! Esp. @ 46:00 🙂

If you harbour a little soft spot for 80s synths then this week’s set will scratch that itch for you. Don your leather jacket and shades and journey with us through synthwave, breaks, minimal and progressive.

Best listened to driving…in the dark…fast 😉 😉

Let us know what you think in the comments below. Cheers Dan & Ben

Breakfeast IV – Nu Skool Breaks & Breakbeat

It’s the bank holiday weekend (in the UK) so here’s a breaks mix to start your week off in the right mood. Breakbeat includes so many elements from different genres, you really can play around with the mood and emotions in a mix.

Let us know whether this set hits the spot for you and any tunes / mixes it reminds you of. As ever, thanks for your support and positive energy – Dan & Ben

Genreaction XXVII

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. We’ve been enjoying so many of the recent mixes being posted on here, in particular Sean’s recent TES mix was so so good (TES Global Radio Resident Show July, 2, 2016).

This set wasn’t planned in any way, we just picked a starting tune and let the mix flow from there. Loads of tracks we’ve not played before with plenty of tech, darker sounds and broken beats. We really had a lot of fun putting this together so hope it’s as good for you listening back as it was for us to make.

BreakFeast III – Nu Skool Breaks & Breakbeat

This week’s set for londonpirateradio.co.uk felt like the perfect time to dip into a real cross section of new and old breakbeat & Hardcore tunes.

We start with a good pace from the start with plenty of classic tunes and a few rare remixes thrown in too. It’s the second purely breakbeat mix we’ve released in a row after last week’s mix was so well received.

Thanks for taking the time to listen, we’d love to hear whether you enjoyed it and any tunes which stand out for you.
Cheers, Dan & Ben

BreakFeast II – Nu Skool Breaks & Breakbeat

Breakbeat…it’s just so good – it ties together so many elements from different genres…sometimes there’s no need to stray away from it which is exactly what happened with this set.

Let us know whether this set hits the spot for you and whether you’d like us to post some more solely breakbeat mixes. We know there are a lot of new mixes which you’ve contacted us about and we have them scheduled to listen to, so will be commenting over the coming days. As ever, thanks for your support and positive energy – Dan & Ben

ORKIST Live – A Journey of Frequency III

ORKIST Live – A Journey of Frequency II

Hey there, it’s the next installment of our Journey of Frequency series recorded live on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk last week.

This mix starts off with some drum and bass before building into some breakbeat, tech house and progressive house.

We’re really enjoying producing these longer 4 hour sets. The additional length allows much more time to cross over between genres and see where the flow of the music takes us – we’d love to hear what you think too…

Cheers for stopping by and listening, Dan & Ben.

Old Skool Drum & Bass, Breaks & Progressive House

Here’s our latest set from LondonPirateRadio.co.uk. We start out with some drum & bass classics, then bring in some breaks before heading off into progressive house and some electro.

Not had much time to keep up with sets from everyone else this week, so no recommendations for now. Lots of listening to do…

As ever, let us know what you think – cheers, Dan & Ben

Old Skool Techno & Breakbeat

Thanks for making your way over to our latest mix session, if you take the time to listen through the set please leave us a comment with what you thought.

This is a recording of our last show on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk which was only two hours – we’ll be back to four hour shows from next week.

The set starts with some old skool house/techno from the early 90s before some lumpy basslines and breakbeat and finishing off with some old UK hardcore.

This week we’ve loved the sounds from Jay (Renascence 001), Peter (Roundtrip: Amsterdam), Ivan (ϖ THE ARSONIST ϖ) and Sista-Matic (Sista-Matic – Old Skool Hardcore Show (92/93) – London Pirate Radio 2/4/2016). If you have a chance take a listen and leave a comment on their shows.

Limitless – Beats from the Underground

Arhh me hearties – here’s last week’s live set on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk which started out with some old skool techno trance before bouncing through some broken beats and off into tech house with some progressive sounds sneaking in here and there.

We really enjoyed putting together this mix as it encompases a lot of different genres and feels like a real rollercoaster of energy & mood throughout the 4 hour journey.

Recommended sets for you to listen to this week come from Marc (Smi043 – Artcore (Drum n Bass) Mix), Paul (The Light Reflected Mix 2016), Sean (DEEPDOM – Soul Sessions #11) and The Snooze on NSB Radio ([099] WallPlugTuna on NSB Radio)

What do you think? Tell us in the comments below. Cheers Ben & Dan

Broken Beats & Tech House Treats

Welcome to another week! This week’s set was recorded live again for londonpirateradio.co.uk and starts off with 90 minutes of breakbeat before moving into tech house, a little minimal and some deeper techno and house sounds.

Favourite sets from other DJ’s this week include those from Marc (The number 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything 😉), Peter (Antarctica 2 (Polar Night)), RoKo (RoKo LiVe…. on londonpirateradio.co.uk) and Mattie G (Mattie G – London Pirate Radio – Return of the hardcore part 2 – Early – mid 90’s Hardcore) so check them out for some deep tech and drum and bass/breakbeat.

What do you think of this week’s set? Do any tunes stand out for you in particular? What mixes have you listened to that you loved this week?

Cheers, Dan & Ben

ORKIST Live 8th March 2016

Ciao a tutti…thanks for checking out our latest mix, it was great fun to record so we hope you enjoy the journey.

This was a live recording of our first four hour set on http://www.londonpirateradio.co.ukwhich starts out with some upbeat house, moving into progressive and then some broken beats before building the energy into tech house and some deeper tech sounds.

This week we’ve particularly enjoyed listening to the latest sounds from Sista Matic (Entrancement Warm up show – Sista-Matic b2b Mooncat – London Pirate Radio. 5/3/16), Peter (PBAC) and a fantastic set from Marc (“Smi 041 * We want your soul”) who is producing some beautiful uplifting music.
