Nu Skool Breaks & Melodic Techno

This is the set from our first show in 2017 on londonpirateradio.co.uk. We start out with 2 solid hours of up-front nu stool breaks and then cross over to some techno keeping the pace but bringing in some more melodic sounds over the heavy bass lines.

As ever – thanks for listening and we’d love to hear your feedback on this mix.
Cheers, Dan & Ben

Genreaction XXVII

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. We’ve been enjoying so many of the recent mixes being posted on here, in particular Sean’s recent TES mix was so so good (TES Global Radio Resident Show July, 2, 2016).

This set wasn’t planned in any way, we just picked a starting tune and let the mix flow from there. Loads of tracks we’ve not played before with plenty of tech, darker sounds and broken beats. We really had a lot of fun putting this together so hope it’s as good for you listening back as it was for us to make.

ORKIST Live – A Journey of Frequency III

In preparation for our show tonight on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk (from 8m UK time), here’s the recording of last week’s set. It’s a non-stop bouncing set incorporating some older classic techno tracks, broken beats and rolling basslines.

Let us know what you think in the comments below – thanks for listening!

ORKIST Live – Techno, House & Breakbeat

This week’s mix from our regular Tuesday evening slot on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk we brought out some of our favourite tech trance tunes from the 90’s and then end with some more modern breakbeat.

Thanks for listening and be sure to tell us what you think in the comments below…

Old Skool Techno & Breakbeat

Thanks for making your way over to our latest mix session, if you take the time to listen through the set please leave us a comment with what you thought.

This is a recording of our last show on LondonPirateRadio.co.uk which was only two hours – we’ll be back to four hour shows from next week.

The set starts with some old skool house/techno from the early 90s before some lumpy basslines and breakbeat and finishing off with some old UK hardcore.

This week we’ve loved the sounds from Jay (Renascence 001), Peter (Roundtrip: Amsterdam), Ivan (ϖ THE ARSONIST ϖ) and Sista-Matic (Sista-Matic – Old Skool Hardcore Show (92/93) – London Pirate Radio 2/4/2016). If you have a chance take a listen and leave a comment on their shows.

Genreaction XII

Putting together a mix that takes you on a journey is what we aim to create with the Genreaction series. Being able to blend together tunes from a range of genres feels like perfecting a recipe. Using slightly different ingredients can awaken senses and arouse memories and feelings which flow throughout your body.

This 1.5 hour adventure includes a few twists and turns but centres around strong basslines and minimal beats while providing glimpses of euphoria as we journey from valleys to peaks and back again.

We love sharing the pure joy we get from mixing with you all. Thanks for all your support and comments – enjoy the trip!
